Vignettes in our summer garden

A garden would not be “normal” without a lot of redoing. Much digging up and replanting went on in the Studio garden all summer, yet there were plenty of highlights — and more to be done!
- In search of the elusive blue flower, but this Blue Satin Rose of Sharon is more purple than blue.
- Nicely fragrant lilies added another dimension to the impact of the echinacea
- This is no ordinary orange daylily, combined here with Southern Charm mullen
- Early harbingers of Fall: crocosmia Lucifer and goldenrod
- Pale yellow, such a delicate color! Daylilies and sweet fern.
- Our oasis of calm in early August
